Turtle Rock shooter will miss its October release !!!
Originally due to hit shops on October 21, the game will now release on February 10, 2015. The publisher confirmed the news on Tuesday in its fiscal Q1 2015 financial results.
Take-Two President Karl Slatoff said in a conference call with investors that the game was delayed to ensure it had enough development time "and take advantage of a favorable release window".
The delay pushes Evolve out of a month packed with releases including Alien: Isolation, Assassin's Creed Unity and 2K's own Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
Developed by the team who created Left 4 Dead, Evolve places players in a unique 4v1 scenario in which four players - the hunters - co-operate to kill a single player-controlled monster, which is also working to eliminate the hunters.
Evolve garnered widespread praise after a playable showing at June's E3 Expo and was awarded the 'Best of Show' E3 Game Critics Award. Evolve snagged a total of four awards - chosen by a select group of game journalists from over two dozen publications - including Best Console Game, Best Action Game and Best Online Multiplayer Game.
