Ellie in Last of Us Remastered is 70% more 'definitely-not-Ellen-Page'
The Last of Us: Remastered is out this week, and Sony has revealed that the new version of Ellie has a significantly higher-res lack of resemblance to Ellen Page. Some sites are claiming that Ellie is now 70% more “in no way modelled on the star of Juno”.
“If you thought Ellie's lack of resemblance to Ellen Page was good in the PS3 version, you ain't seen nothing yet,” says leading Sonyologist, Randy Randerson. “The added technical grunt of PlayStation 4 has allowed Sony to render Ellie in amazingly crisp hi-res, making her definitely look absolutely nothing like Ellen Page.”
Having received early copies of Sony's cross-gen masterpiece, many sites have marvelled at how much more depressing the game is on PS4. Especially that bit with the weirdo who eats people.
They are also reporting that significant efforts have also been made to render Joel in a way that makes him look very little like an old, beardy Nathan Drake.PlebGamer.com comment on how the “furrow-lines of worry are etched on his face like grooves down a potato field”. They also add that: “We've played a lot of games AND read Beowulf, so can say with absolute certainty that Joel is nothing like an old Nathan Drake”.
“Although, now you mention it, Ellie does look a little bit like that weird lass from Inception”.
